About the Journal

Jurnal Fisika Unand (JFU) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Jurusan Fisika, Universitas Andalas. 

Established in 2012, JFU publishes original research that advances the understanding, development, measurement, modeling, and application of classical and modern physics. The journal provides a scholarly communication platform for researchers, academics, professionals, and practitioners working in physics and closely related interdisciplinary fields. 

JFU welcomes theoretical, computational, experimental, and applied research in areas including nuclear and medical physics, materials physics, theoretical and computational physics, electronics and instrumentation, biophysics, environmental and atmospheric physics, geophysics, energy-related physics, optics and photonics, and other relevant areas of physics. 

JFU primarily publishes Original Research Articles in Indonesian or English. Every submitted manuscript undergoes initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope, quality, integrity, and submission requirements are evaluated through double-anonymous peer review. 

All published articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication. Authors retain copyright in their work, and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License, unless a different license is clearly stated.
