Jurnal Fisika Unand (JFU) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, Indonesia.

Established in 2012, JFU publishes original theoretical, computational, experimental, and applied research in classical and modern physics. The journal serves researchers, academics, professionals, and practitioners working in physics and closely related interdisciplinary fields.

JFU welcomes research in nuclear and medical physics, materials physics, theoretical and computational physics, electronics and instrumentation, biophysics, environmental and atmospheric physics, geophysics, energy-related physics, optics and photonics, and other relevant fields of physics.

JFU was published four times per year until 2023. Since 2024, JFU has been published six times per year, in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

JFU was accredited at Sinta 3 for the accreditation period specified in Decree No. 225/E/KPT/2022. Current accreditation information is published separately on the journal website.

JFU primarily publishes Original Research Articles in Indonesian or English. Every submission undergoes initial technical and editorial screening. Manuscripts that satisfy the journal’s scope, quality, integrity, ethical, and submission requirements are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through double-anonymous peer review.

All published articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication. Authors retain copyright in their work. Unless otherwise stated on an individual article, JFU content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
