About the Journal

Jurnal Fisika Unand (JFU) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of classical and modern physics. Established in 2012, JFU serves as a platform for global knowledge exchange, particularly in nuclear physics, medical physics, materials science, biophysics, and computational physics. The journal encourages submissions from both theoretical and experimental studies, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue that advances the frontiers of physics.

JFU was published four times annually prior to 2024. Beginning in 2024, JFU has been published six times annually (bi-monthly). The journal welcomes contributions across a wide range of physics subfields, including but not limited to: nuclear and medical physics, electronics and instrumentation, materials physics, theoretical and computational physics, and environmental physics. Each issue features original research articles that undergo rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure scientific validity, clarity, and relevance.

As a fully open-access journal, JFU embraces the principles of open science, making research freely available to readers worldwide. This aligns with our commitment to the Budapest Open Access Initiative, promoting the dissemination of knowledge without financial or legal barriers. Articles published in JFU are governed by a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License, allowing non-commercial use with proper attribution to the authors and the journal.

With accreditation from Indonesia's Ministry of Education (Sinta 3), JFU upholds the highest standards of scientific integrity, ethical publishing, and editorial independence.
