Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City, is predominantly composed of unconsolidated sediments with geological characteristics that may influence aquifer distribution and groundwater table depth. This study aims to estimate groundwater conditions and identify subsurface characteristics based on the Vp/Vs ratio and Poisson’s ratio using the Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) microtremor method. Measurements were conducted at 34 observation points using a portable short-period seismograph and were complemented by groundwater table depth measurements from local residents’ wells using a digital laser distance meter. Data processing was performed using Geopsy, HV-Inv, and Surfer software to produce two-dimensional subsurface cross-sections and spatial distribution maps of the analyzed parameters. The results indicate variations in Vp/Vs and Poisson’s ratio values that reflect differences in lithological compaction, porosity, and groundwater saturation. Higher parameter values indicate the presence of water-saturated unconsolidated sediments, which are interpreted as weak zones associated with shallow groundwater conditions. The areas of Kandang Limun and Pematang Gubernur exhibit relatively high parameter values, suggesting the presence of shallow groundwater. These findings provide preliminary information on groundwater characteristics and may support regional development planning in Muara Bangkahulu District.
