Pengaruh Paparan Radiasi Dental Panoramik Digital Terhadap Aktivitas Kerja Enzim Amilase Pada Air Liur

Pengaruh paparan radiasi dental panoramik digital terhadap aktivitas kerja enzim amilase telah diteliti pada air liur 20 pasien yang menderita penyakit gigi dan mulut. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh dosis radiasi terhadap Power of Hydrogen (pH) saliva, menganalisis hubungan perubahan pH saliva terhadap perubahan aktivitas kerja enzim amilase pada saliva, dan menganalisis pengaruh dosis radiasi terhadap aktivitas kerja enzim amilase pada saliva. Akumulasi dosis ekivalen yang diterima pasien diukur menggunakan Dosimeter Digital Aloka PDM-127. Derajat keasaman (pH) saliva pasien sebelum dan setelah terpapar radiasi diukur menggunakan pH meter digital. Aktivitas kerja enzim amilase pada saliva pasien sebelum dan setelah terpapar radiasi diuji menggunakan uji iodin. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu dosis radiasi menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan pH saliva pada 18 pasien dan penurunan pH saliva pada 2 pasien yang bergantung pada riwayat konsumsi obat-obatan dan kebersihan serta kesehatan gigi dan mulut pasien. Hubungan perubahan pH saliva terhadap perubahan kinerja enzim amilase akibat dosis radiasi yang diterima pasien tidak didapatkan karena nilai pH optimum yang tidak dapat ditentukan. Perubahan pH saliva akibat dosis radiasi menyebabkan peningkatan kinerja enzim amilase pada 10 pasien dan penurunan kinerja enzim amilase pada 10 pasien yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai pH optimum.References
