Analisis Nilai Suseptibilitas Magnetik Tanah Untuk Pendugaan Erosi di Daerah Sekitar Jalan Lintas Sungai Penuh-Tapan

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk menentukan mineral pengontrol suseptibilitas magnetik dan pendugaan kedalaman dan luas daerah yang mengalami erosi melalui analisis nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel tanah di daerah sekitar Jalan Lintas Sungai Penuh-Tapan. Sampel tanah diambil dari dua lokasi yaitu daerah lereng dan daerah acuan yang berjarak 300 m dari daerah lereng. Pada daerah lereng sampel diambil pada lokasi seluas 3000 m2 yang terdiri dari 40 titik dengan variasi kedalaman pada masing-masing titik yaitu 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 dan 60 cm, sedangkan pada daerah acuan sampel diambil pada satu titik dengan variasi kedalaman yaitu 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 dan 100 cm. Pengukuran suseptibilitas magnetik sampel menggunakan Magnetic Suseptibility Meter dengan frekuensi rendah. Hasil pengukuran suseptibilitas magnetik sampel menunjukkan bahwa nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel bervariasi berkisar antara 63,1×10-8 m3kg-1 sampai 964,4×10-8 m3kg-1 untuk daerah lereng dan dari 802,8×10-8 m3kg-1 sampai 921,5×10-8 m3kg-1 untuk daerah acuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sampel tanah pada daerah penelitian merupakan jenis tanah andosol dengan mineral pengontrol nilai suseptibilitas magnetiknya adalah ilmenit. Berdasarkan perbandingan nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel di daerah lereng dengan daerah acuan, diduga bahwa erosi telah terjadi hingga kedalaman 60 cm dan persentase luas daerah yang mengalami erosi adalah 36,6% (kedalaman 20 cm), 34,7% (kedalaman 40 cm) dan 28,7%.
