Research on the effect of the density of sugarcane bagasse fiber on the sound absorption coefficient and acoustic impedance has been conducted.  The method used is the tube method on the composite based on sugarcane bagasse with has been conducted epoxy resin matrix. The composite material was given by a different density treatment for each sample with the same thickness of each sample that is 0.5 cm. The test material makes with different densities namely densities of 0.38 g/cm3, 0.44 g/cm3, 0.57 g/cm3, and 0.62 g/cm3.  The frequency used in this study is 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz, 8000 Hz. The results showed that the sound absorption coefficient value with the highest 0.44 g/cm3 density occurred at 4000 Hz frequency, 0.98 and the sample with 0.62 g/cm3 density had the lowest absorption coefficient value at 500 Hz frequency with value of 0.56. The highest acoustic impedance value occurs at a density of 0.57 g/cm3, ie at a frequency of 1000 Hz with a value of 1.27 dyne.s/cm5.  This bagasse fiber panel is very suitable for use in audio rooms because it has a high absorption coefficient value at a frequency of 4000 Hz.
