Research on synthesis of zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanoparticles has been conducted using the coopresipitation method. Synthesis of nanoparticles was carried out with variations in NH4OH concentrations of 1.5 M, 3 M, and 6 M. ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles were characterized using XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) is carried out to determine the phases contained and the size of the crystal produced in the sample. The size of crystals is calculated using the Scherrer equation obtained that the results are 26; 26; and 27 nm. SEM is performed to determine the surface morphology and particle size. The results of characterization using image-j are 49 nm; 43 nm; and 34 nm. The susceptibility test using bartington MS2 magnetic susceptibility meters was perfomed to determine the value of magnetic contained in the material. The result of successive magnetic susceptibility are 997.3×10-8m3kg-1;   102.6×10-8m3kg-1; and 739×10-8m3kg-1.
