Pengaruh Konsentrasi SiO2 dalam Komposit TiO2-SiO2 sebagai Lapisan Swabersih pada Katun Tekstil

Telah dilakukan pembuatan lapisan swabersih dari komposit TiO2-SiO2 di permukaan katun tekstil menggunakan metode dip-spin coating. Bahan yang digunakan berupa TiO2 dan SiO2 serbuk. Variasi TiO2-SiO2 yaitu 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2; 2,5;3. TiO2-SiO2 yang telah dibuat dilarutkan sebanyak 1% (b/v). Sebelum dicampurkan dengan larutan TiO2-SiO2, katun disterilkan dan direndam dalam asam asetat glasial yang berfungsi sebagai cross linking agent selama 15 menit. Katun terlapis TiO2-SiO2 diuji menggunakan larutan noda asam palmitat 15 ppm serta disinari selama 12 jam dibawah lampu UV. Absorban awal dan absorban akhir noda dihitung menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Sampel yang telah dibuat dikarakterisasi menggunakan mikroskop optik, XRD dan SEM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase pengurangan noda asam palmitat tertinggi dan terendah adalah 91,34% untuk penambahan 1,5 g SiO2 dan 3,80% untuk penambahan 3 g SiO2. Gambar dari mikroskop optik memperlihatkan lapisan TiO2-SiO2 pada katun mengalami peningkatan ketransparanan seiring meningkatnya penambahan komposisi SiO2. Morfologi katun terlapis TiO2-SiO2 dapat terlihat lebih jelas menggunakan SEM, dimana penambahan 1,5 gr SiO2 memiliki lapisan yang lebih tebal dan terjadi aglomerasi pada permukaan katun dibandingkan penambahan 3 g SiO2. Berdasarkan hasil XRD penambahan SiO2 mengakibatkan puncak TiO2 tertutupi.

7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by JFU or its sublicensee.
8. Miscellaneous
JFU will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the articles editorial process is successfully completed and JFU or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. JFU may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing and usage that it deems appropriate. The author acknowledges that the article may be published so that it will be publicly accessible and such access will be free of charge for the readers.
