Analisis Percepatan Tanah Maksimum Wilayah Sumatera Barat (Studi Kasus Gempa Bumi 8 Maret 1977 dan 11 September 2014)

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis percepatan tanah maksimum atau Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) di wilayah Sumatera Barat akibat gempa bumi 8 Maret 1977 di Segmen Sumpur dan gempa bumi 11 September 204 di Segmen Sianok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode McGuire. Hasil pengolahan data menghasilkan peta kontur PGA di wilayah Sumatera Barat. Nilai PGA terbesar akibat gempa bumi di Segmen Sumpur adalah 27,0 gal yang terjadi di daerah Pasaman. Gempa bumi di Segmen Sumpur merupakan gempa bumi berkategori merusak sedang dengan getaran yang dirasakan sangat kuat yaitu sebesar VII-VIII MMI (Mercali Modified Intensity). Nilai PGA terkecil adalah 1,1 gal yang terjadi di daerah Sijunjung, Dharmasraya, Pesisir Selatan, Kabupaten Solok, Solok Selatan, dan Kepualaun Mentawai. Efek gempa dirasakan  sebesar II-VI MMI dengan kemampuan merusak berkategori ringan. Nilai PGA terbesar akibat gempa bumi di Segmen Sianok adalah 28,0 gal yang terjadi di daerah Tanah Datar, Padang Panjang, Solok, Sawahlunto, dan Bukittinggi. Dampak gempa dirasakan sangat kuat  sebesar VII-VIII MMI dengan kemampuan merusak berkategori sedang. Nilai PGA terkecilnya adalah 1,1 gal yang terjadi di daerah Pasaman, Lima Puluh Kota, Pesisir Selatan, Sijunjung, Solok Selatan, Kabupaten Solok, Dharmasraya, dan Kepualaun Mentawai dengan intensitas II-VI MMI berkategori ringan.

7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by JFU or its sublicensee.
8. Miscellaneous
JFU will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the articles editorial process is successfully completed and JFU or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. JFU may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing and usage that it deems appropriate. The author acknowledges that the article may be published so that it will be publicly accessible and such access will be free of charge for the readers.
