Abstract
The comparison between the manual calculation of Glomerulus Filtration Rate (GFR) and direct examination of gamma camera by using Tc99m DTPA radiation source has been carried out. It takes on 23 renography patients in Pertamina Central Hospital, Jakarta. The uptake percentage and manual GFR calculation are obtained using modified Gates method, while the percentage of uptake and GFR test results are obtained after scanning of renal using a gamma camera, then they are processed by Region of Interest (ROI). The results show that the value of GFR and uptake percentage with manual calculation are bigger than the examination result of the gamma camera on computer, i.e the percentage of the maximum uptake manually reached 300.42% while the results of camera gamma examination is 100%. The total GFR manually obtained is 561.43 ml/min on average, while the gamma camera examination is 54.22 ml/min. In general, the calculation of computer GFR of gamma camera is more precise than the  manual one.
