Abstract
The study in estimating temperature of geothermal reservoir at Alam Pauh Duo, Solok Selatan was conducted based on the electrical resistivity ofsaturated silica and resistivity of water. Silica sinter terraces and water samples were taken at six point radially away from the hot spring. Electrical resistivity of saturated silica range from 7.06 to 9.74 Ωm, while the resistivity of water range from 57.06 to 58.52 Ωm. Temperature estimation of geothermal reservoir have an average of temperature value from 253 to 340˚C, calculated using Dakhnov equation. This value indicates that the area at Alam Pauh Duo, Solok Selatan has potential as a source of geothermal power plant.
