Evaluasi Kelayakan dan Efektivitas lead apron sebagai Alat Pelindung Diri di Instalasi Radiologi

Pemanfaatan radiasi sinar-X dalam instalasi radiologi memiliki dampak posistif dan negatif. Dampak negative paparan radiasi sinar-X dapat dikurangi dengan cara menggunakan lead apron. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui luas kerusakan sebagai penentu kelayakan lead apron dan mengevaluasi efektivitas lead apron dalam memberikan perlindungan yang memadai. Evaluasi kelayakan dan efektivitas dilakukan terhadap 5 lead apron milik Rumah Sakit Universitas Andalas. Metode evaluasi kelayakan dilakukan dengan membagi lead apron menjadi 4 kuadran, lalu dilakukan penyinaran menggunakan pesawat sinar-X konvensional dengan faktor eksposi 58,5 kV dan 8 mAs. Hasil penyinaran diolah menggunakan computed radiography (CR) untuk mengukur luas kerusakan pada lead apron. Efektivitas lead apron dievaluasi menggunakan dosimeter OSL yang ditempatkan di bagian atas dan dalam lead apron, kemudian dilakukan penyinaran dengan faktor eksposi 102 kV dan 2,5 mAs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan tidak melebihi batas toleransi yang disarankan Lambert dan McKeon, dimana lead apron dinyatakan layak apabila kerusakan <670 mm2 pada area kurang sensitif dan <15 mm2 pada area sensitif, sedangkan efektivitas lead apron berkisar antara (94,5-98,2) %. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh bahwa lead apron masih layak digunakan dan efektif dalam memberikan perlindungan terhadap radiasi sinar-X kepada pekerja radiasi, pasien maupun keluarga pasien.References

No breach or violation of this agreement will cause this agreement or any license granted in it to terminate automatically or affect the definition of JFU.
7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by JFU or its sublicensee.
8. Miscellaneous
JFU will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the articles editorial process is successfully completed and JFU or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. JFU may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing and usage that it deems appropriate. The author acknowledges that the article may be published so that it will be publicly accessible and such access will be free of charge for the readers.
