Elektodeposisi Lapisan Tembaga pada Baja SS-304 dengan Larutan Elektrolit Mengandung Ekstrak Daun Binahong sebagai Inhibitor Korosi

Penelitian tentang pengaruh esktrak daun binahong sebagai inhibitor korosi baja SS-304 telah dilakukan. Pada penelitian ini, lapisan tembaga dan inhibitor ekstrak daun binahong dilapisi pada permukaan baja menggunakan metode elektrodeposisi. Pelapisan baja dibagi dalam tiga kelompok berdasarkan lama elektrodeposisi yaitu 10 menit, 20 menit, dan 30 menit. Media korosif dibuat dengan melarutkan 14,2 g Na2SO4 ke dalam 100 mL aquades. Pengujian laju korosi sampel dilakukan selama 21 hari pada suhu ruang. Pengukuran laju korosi dilakukan dengan metode weight loss, sementara efisiensi inhibisi diperoleh dari selisih laju korosi tanpa inhibitor dan dengan inhibitor. Laju korosi yang paling rendah didapatkan pada penambahan konsentrasi inhibitor 3% dan lama elektrodeposisi 30 menit yaitu sebesar 0,291 mils per year (mpy) dan efisiensi inhibisi tertinggi diperoleh sebesar 89,20%. Karakterisasi untuk mengamati permukaan baja setelah elektrodeposisi dan perendaman dilakukan menggunakan mikroskop optik dan menganalisis fasa yang terbentuk menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Semakin lama elektrodeposisi sampel maka inhibitor teradsorpsi lebih baik dan nilai laju korosi semakin kecil.References
