Abstract
The research is about effect of addition of PVDF on piezoelectric coefficient of PZT using poling breaker. PbZr(0.52)Ti(0.48)O3(PZT) was synthesized using solid state reaction method with sintering temperature of 900 0C. The piezoelectric material was mixed with PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) as a glue of 0.05 gr, 0.07 gr, 0.09 gr, 0.11 gr, and 0.13 gr so that PZT is not easily broken during using it. The mixtures of PZT and PVDF are then coated with metal layer on their both sides by thermal spraying method using a sputtering coating tool. Samples were then polled at 2 kV / mm by using television machine as the source of high voltage that equipped with regulator to regulate output voltage and polling breaker to avoid a short circuit. Polling breaker worked at refences voltage 10 V. Before and after polling, piezoelectric coefficient was measured using d33 meter. The highest value of d33 is reached at addition of 0.05 gr PVDF 45x10-12 C / N.
