KARAKTERISASI SENSOR GAS LPG (LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS) DARI BAHAN KOMPOSIT SEMIKONDUKTOR TiO2(CuO)

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan sintesis dan karakterisasi pelet untuk sensor LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) dari bahan komposit semikonduktor TiO2(CuO) dengan metode reaksi kimia padatan (solid state reaction). Proses pembuatan pelet terdiri atas proses pencampuran bahan, kalsinasi pada temperatur 500ºC selama 4 jam, penggerusan, kompaksi dan sintering pada 700ºC selama 4 jam. Sensor LPG diuji pada temperatur ruang (270C) dengan melihat karakteristik I-V, nilai sensitivitas, dan nilai konduktivitas. Berdasarkan pengukuran karakteristik I-V diketahui bahwa sampel dengan penambahan bahan CuO sebanyak 10% mol memiliki nilai sensitivitas 10 pada tegangan 10 volt.

Abstract

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG’s) sensor in the form of composite has been characterized. The steps of manufacturing processes are the mixing of materials, calcinations at 500ºC for 4 hours, blended, compacted and sintered at 700ºC for 4 hours.  The sensor was tested at room temperature through current (I)-voltage (V) characteristics, sensitivity, and conductivity.  Based on measurement I-V characteristic it’s known that sample with 10% addition of CuO have  sensitivity of 10 at 10 volt voltage.
