Abstract
A design of an automatization system to control the electric light switch in a class room based on microcontroller ATmega8535 with PIR Paradox-465 detector has been done. Automatization to control the electric light system will turn on and turn off lights automatically, the electric lights will be turn on during the people are in the room, and it will turn off when they leave the room. When the sensor is connected to a power supply, it needs about 25.5 seconds to warm up before detecting objects. The maximum distance that can be detected by the sensor is 6.3 meter at an angle of 0° straight ahead of the sensor, and 1 meter at an angle of 70° left and right vertical and horizontal axis. The output voltage of the sensor is 2.72 V when an object is detected and 0 V when the object is not detected.
