Analisi Nilai Suseptibilitas Magnetik Tanah Untuk Pendugaan Erosi Pada Lapisan Tanah di Sekitar Danau Maninjau

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk pendugaan erosi tanah di sekitar Danau Maninjau menggunakan metode suseptibilitas magnetik. Sampel tanah diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling yang terdiri dari 4 titik yaitu pada daerah tidak bervegetasi dengan variasi kedalaman 3 cm hingga kedalaman 57 cm dan sampel tanah pembanding diambil di daerah bervegetasi dari kedalaman 3 cm hingga 99 cm. Total sampel tanah yang diambil sebanyak 90 sampel. Pengukuran suseptibilitas magnetik sampel menggunakan magnetic susceptibility meter dengan low frequency. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel bervariasi untuk daerah yang tidak bervegetasi berkisar 614,5 x 10-8 m3 kg-1 sampai dengan 918,3 x 10-8 m3kg-1, sedangkan daerah bervegetasi nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel berkisar antara 847,0 x 10-8 m3kg-1 sampai dengan 960,9 x 10-8 m3kg-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel tanah pada daerah penelitian merupakan jenis tanah andosol dengan mineral pengontrol nilai suseptibilitas magnetik adalah ilmenit. Berdasarkan perbandingan nilai suseptibilitas magnetik sampel di daerah tidak bervegetasi dan daerah bervegetasi, diduga bahwa erosi telah terjadi hingga kedalaman 57 cm kecuali pada titik C di kedalaman 12 cm dan 57 cm.
