Analisis Dosis Serap Bolus Berbahan Campuran Beeswax dan Petroleum Jelly Dalam Radioterapi Menggunakan Elektron 6 MeV Pada LINAC

Pengobatan kanker pada permukaan kulit menggunakan berkas elektron menghasilkan dosis radiasi yang belum mampu memberikan dosis permukaan secara maksimum, sehingga diperlukan material yang mampu meningkatkan dosis permukaan yang disebut dengan bolus. Penelitian ini akan menguji bolus berbahan campuran Beeswax dan Petroleum Jelly. Pengujian bolus meliputi dosis serap dan nilai Relative Electron Density (RED). Nilai RED diperoleh dari citra tomografi bolus menggunakan CT-Simulator dengan menentukan Region Of Interest (ROI). Nilai dosis serap didapatkan dengan melakukan penyinaran menggunakan instrumentasi Linear Accelerator (LINAC) pada energi 6 MeV. Hasil dosis serap dibaca pada elektrometer dan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Nilai RED bolus yang diperoleh pada ketebalan 0,2 cm hingga 0,8 cm memiliki nilai RED yang lebih rendah dari nilai RED payudara tetapi pada ketebalan 1,0 cm memiliki nilai RED yang setara dengan jaringan payudara. Nilai dosis serap pada bolus saat disinari energi 6 MeV untuk ketebalan 0,2 cm sebesar 184,70 cGy, ketebalan 0,4 cm sebesar 182,67 cGy, ketebalan 0,6 cm sebesar 163,23 cGy, ketebalan 0,8 sebesar 125,27 cGy serta ketebalan 1,0 cm sebesar 80,10 cGy. Hasil penelitian bolus berbahan Beeswax dan Petroleum Jelly memiliki nilai RED yang setara dengan jaringan lunak dan dapat mengurangi dosis serap pada kedalaman sehingga bolus berbahan Beeswax dan Petroleum Jelly menjadi salah satu alternatif material bolus saat radioterapi.References

7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by JFU or its sublicensee.
8. Miscellaneous
JFU will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the articles editorial process is successfully completed and JFU or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. JFU may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing and usage that it deems appropriate.
